Twas the Night Before Christmas

Hi All,

Well all of the gifts are out and I just saw Santa's sleigh take off from our roof. The kids are very excited and did not want to go to bed, but we told them if they didn't go to sleep that Santa would not show up. Somehow that always gets the kids to bed quickly. We had dinner earlier tonight with the Grattans and Deena put together an incredible meal of Shrimp Fra Diavolo and Jumbo Lump Crab meat with a Cheese Filled Ravioli. The dinner was out of this world and truly a great start to Xmas 2009.

After dinner we heard the sirens and we saw Santa riding through the neighborhood on a fire truck. Not everyone was excited about running outside to see Santa, but JP and Connor did lead the charge in the frigid temperatures in their Xmas pajamas. Apparently when Santa is in your presence the cold weather does not seem to matter. It has been a wonderful night and the last photo sums it up nicely as Hailey and Carley dream about Barbie dolls and drum sets. It's about midnight now and I still have to wrap a few gifts for Tina, but I thought I'd leave you with some photos of our 2009 Xmas EVE!

Hailey Rose Christmas Show

Hi All,

Hailey Rose had her Christmas Show at school yesterday. Hailey had a wonderful time sitting with her classmates and watching the program. Hailey got to sing a little, but she stayed with the overall crowd and did not have a part that required her to solo on stage. However, the little Diva appears to have a personality that wants to be on stage!

In the last photo, "Thick as Thieves" the little girl in the yellow is Ashley and she is Hailey's best friend in school. They are pretty much inseparable and when the snow melts they already have a date to go and see the Princess and the Frog movie together.

Everyone Pay Attention

The Blizzard of 2009

Hi All,

I ended up putting in over 3 hours of snow removal duty this morning between clearing the walks, dusting off the cars and finally snow blowing the driveway. I started around 7:30AM and finished by about 10:30AM. With so much snow on the ground we figured it would be a waste to do nothing, so we packed the kids in the car headed over to their cousins house and got in about an hour of no holds barred sledding. I posted a few photos here, but the rest will be coming via Snapfish since there were close to 70 shots taken today.

Carley's Christmas Show

Hi All,

Well we just got back from Carley's Christmas show that she performed in this morning. Carley did a wonderful job and was a lot more into performing this time than in her previous Thanksgiving show. She was smiling, dancing and even singing with her classmates. I think we may have a budding artist among us.

Tina took Jace to see the big man himself yesterday and let's just say that Jace was not feeling the Christmas spirit. I thought that Jace would be okay with Santa, but as they say, a picture says a thousand words!

Pasta and a boy named Jace

Hi All,

Well today was another fun filled day of keeping up with the adventures of Jace Anderson Jones. Tina sat him down for lunch which was a nice dish of pasta complete with some of Grandma Rosemary's meatballs. This is apparently his favorite dish since he went and got them himself out of the fridge and presented them to mommy. Tina heated up lunch and then informed me that she had to go and get Carley from school. I quickly finished up some emails I was working on and then alarmed by the silence in the kitchen decided to go check on Jace. Does anybody want to take a guess on what I found upon venturing into the kitchen?

If anyone guessed a complete mess, you are today's winner!

First Snowfall

Hi All,

We had our first snowfall of the year on Saturday. The kids decided that they wanted to go outside and run around in the snow on Sunday morning. It wasn't as cold as it was the day before, so we decided to let the kids go out and burn off some calories. Below are just a few of the photos I managed to get before the kids got bored and decided that they wanted hot cocoa and pizza at 9:30AM instead.

The Matching Doll Baby

Hi All,

Carley got a special birthday present today from her Godparents Jen and John O'brien. They got her a nice pair of pajamas that Carley absolutely loves, but the interesting part is that the pajama set came with a pair of matching pajamas for Carley's baby doll. I snapped a quick picture tonight before bed to show you Carley and her baby doll all ready for bedtime.
